Today is National School Principals Day! We are very fortunate to have Mrs. Woodham as our principal at Gifford Grade School! Thank You Mrs. Woodham for all that you do for our students and school. #WeAreGGS
GGS Student Council has sorted 100 POUNDS of plastic lids this year in an effort to help the local womens club turn those into a bench for our school. We are halfway there but our work is done for this school year. I am beyond proud of each member of this team! The saying, "Together, we achieve more" is true for this group. Whomever takes over next year as the Student Council sponsor will be blessed to work alongside them. Thanks for the memories!
Tomorrow is the last day of Family Music Week!

The Student Council has been hosting a blood drive at the school since December 2020. We have hosted two blood drives per year for a total of 158 units collected. We have helped to save 410 lives and have earned a total of $1659 since we started of life-saving grant money to help our school and community. There are not enough words to express the gratitude we feel. Everyones time and efforts make a difference! I am retiring in May so this was my last time to coordinate this event. Thanks again to all who donated over the years. ❤️🩸
Today from 1:30-6:30 is our school blood drive in our parking lot (bloodmobile). We still have many openings so if you are able to stop in, they may be able to fit you in. On behalf of all who have received a blood donation or all who have given, THANK YOU! Your time, effort and blood donations make a difference.
Family Music Week is quickly approaching! From April 24th-27th you are invited to attend a music class with your child. This is not a performance, but instead a chance for you to make music with your child.
In order to be able to keep our class moving, I ask that only one person accompany a child per day. We will be dancing, singing and playing instruments so there will be a lot of movement involved. I will have chairs available, if necessary, but most of our work is up or on the floor.

Student Council back at work sorting THOUSANDS of lids! We have LOTS of dirty lids that we must clean before submitting them.
Student Council begins sorting THOUSANDS of plastic lids in an effort to help the GFWC recycling project to create a bench.
These students spoke at our School Board Meeting last night. They did an outstanding job of reading their Opinion Writing assignment. Outstanding job! Thank you to Mrs. Miller and her students for sharing what they wrote and for such a great presentation!
